Glenshinnoch is a newly formed Grade 4 competition pipe band in the western suburbs of Chicago, Illinois, USA. We meet alternate Fridays 7:00-9:30pm in the Naperville/Aurora area.
We are currently recruiting additional experienced pipers and drummers to fill our ranks and join in the fun. If you like the thought of playing with a group fully focused on competition tunes and improvement, check us out. We may be exactly what you are looking for. Playing with Glenshinnoch has a reduced time commitment, since we rehearse together every other week, play very few parades, and have a tight repertoire of tunes.
The Pipe Major is Stuart Barr, and the Leading Drummer is Mike Traynor. We are privileged to have Ken Cruickshank, ex-Midlothian Scottish Pipe Band Grade 1, as our Musical Director and in the circle.
