**Grade 4 & 5 Band Schedule Changed-Solo Schedule Changed**

**Please download the latest versions below**

The latest playing schedule for bands and solos has been determined for the Chicago Scottish Festival and Highland Games on June 14 & 15, 2019.  Solo contests are on Friday, June 14 with the exception of the Group Tenor and Drum Major contests.  These occur on Saturday, June 15, after the band contests have occurred.

Competing bands should note that there will be two concurrent circles for the Grade 4 & Grade 5 contests.  Due to the large number of bands competing and tight time-lines, it is important that every competing band send a representative to the Band Meeting at 8:30 a.m. on Saturday morning.

A note on the upcoming games from our president, Jim Sim:

“The orders of play are now up for the Chicago Solos on Friday and the bands on Saturday.  Another large entry so being on time and staying in touch with Stewards is very important.  We will be in a different location within the same park this year.  The band tents, etc. can be set up on Friday along the same walking path as last year, but on both sides.  So when you enter the park at the Main Gate on Pierce Road, the walking path you can set up on is the first path to your left or right.  Please be respectful of your neighbors and the organizers by not hopping the fences or lifting beer, etc. over the fence.  There will be signs posted for the set up.

The contest circles and Final Tuning Areas will be posted with signage.  There will be two circles in the morning and one in the afternoon.  The Grade 2 & 3 bands will play their MSR in a usual circle formation and their medley in the Concert Formation.  The circles will have markers around the Contest Area so they will be visible.  The MWPBA Tent will be located at the head of the circle for questions, etc.  This is also where the mandatory band meeting will take place at 8:30 on Saturday morning.  There is NO First Massed Bands.  The Final Massed Bands will step off at 6:10 with line up at 5:55.  Please be on time.  Instructions and groupings will be handed out at the Band Meeting.

Thank you for your cooperation and help with this large contest.  I look forward to seeing you all next weekend.”
