Registration for the MHAF Winter Storm event in Kansas City, January 11-13, 2013 is now open.

As a Major Sponsor, the MWPBA encourages all members to take advantage of this must-attend event.

Pipers, drummers, and drum majors, beginner to expert, will gain a meaningful and enjoyable educational and social experience at the Winter Storm Weekend Workshop. The faculty is comprised of a large international line-up of world-class pipers and drummers, the vast majority of whom are World Champions and/or Gold Medalists, from around the globe.

The All-Star faculty places Winter Storm as one of the largest and most prestigious workshops of its kind in the World.

The concert is not to be missed, and for the first time will be streamed live for those unable to attend. Full information is available at www.winterstorm.net.

Friday January 11th sees Gold and Silver medal competitions in Ceòl Beag and Piobaireachd, and Gold Medal and Amateur Snare, Tenor, and Bass Drumming contests.  Events in the grand ballroom will also be streamed live (which includes Gold Medal Ceòl Beag qualifier and final, Gold Medal Snare Drumming final, Gold Medal Piobaireachd, and the Contest Awards Ceremony).

2012 MWPBA Champion Supreme winners in Grade 3 and Grade 4 Snare drumming, novice Tenor drumming, Jr. Novice, and Grade 4 Piping have all been awarded scholarships by the MWPBA to attend the MHAF Winter Storm 2013 Workshop.  Congratulations to Charles Sadler, Bryan Jirsa, Sydney Sievewright, Dustin Boyd, and Brittany Stuart.
