The 2025 MWPBA Education Seminars continue on Tuesday March 18 at 7:00pm Central Time, with a session hosted by Bob Worrall on "How to improve your band's ensemble performance".
 
As usual, no sign-up is necessary. The Zoom Link will be posted a day or two before on the MWPBA email mailing list and the MWPBA Facebook group, and right here on mwpba.org. All you have to do is join the Zoom Call to attend the seminar.
 
There is no fee for this and it is open to all members and non-members alike.

We are delighted to announce the first of our 2025 MWPBA Education Seminars, on Tuesday February 18 at 7:00pm Central Time.
 
Our first presenter is Gold Medal and Clasp Winner Nick Hudson. The topic is "How To Prepare For An Upcoming Solo Contest". Nick will be speaking on ways to better prepare for a solo contest leading up to the event as well as on the day of.

All entry forms are now posted for all MWPBA regular season 2025 Band, Quartet, and Solo contests. Full details of each contest is detailed here.

Entry is also open for the McHugh and Swinton solos.

The MWPBA Contest Rules and Regulations have been updated for season 2025, available here.

The rules changes for 2025 (as agreed at the 2024 AGM) are:

 
  • Champion Supreme Drum Corps trophies will also be awarded for each grade
  • The Drum Major contest will now be at offered at full Champion Supreme events only
  • The Group Tenor event is no longer offered

The list of regular season band and solos contests in 2025 is now posted and confirmed.

The prize money for Chicago has been increased, and new for season 2025 there is a Drum Corps Champion Supreme award for each grade!

Note that Group Tenor solo competition has been discontinued, and the Drum Major solo event is now offered only at full Champion Supreme contests.

Entry forms will be posted soon. Time to get registered! The discounted band membership rate expires on Jan 31!
