MWPBA Quartet Contests 2024

Master Entry Form

 

  • Entry is open to members of bands registered for 2024 with the MWPBA or other ANAPBA affiliated pipe band association.
  • All contests shall be conducted according to the official Rules of the Midwest Pipe Band Association (MWPBA).
  • IT IS THE RESPONSIBILITY OF COMPETITORS TO BE AWARE OF ALL MWPBA RULES AND REGULATIONS, INCLUDING CODE OF CONDUCT.
  • All contest entries must be made using this online form by the deadline stated for each contest.  Phone or email entries will not be accepted.  No field entries.  Entry fee is $25 per event. Late entry is accepted for 7 days after the published deadline, for which a single late fee will be assessed.
  • No Entry Fee Refunds For Any Reason Except Event Cancellation.
  • This entry form supports entering any and all MWPBA contests, and may be submitted multiple times.
  • Games admission is free for competitors (which must be on the official band roster as submitted to the MWPBA); parking fees are not included. MWPBA bands must ensure that their rosters as submitted to the MWPBA are accurate..
  • A Quartet will consist of four (4) pipers all rostered on the same band's roster.
  • Quartets may play in their registered band competition grade assigned by the MWPBA or home association, or one grade higher, but not both. A Quartet playing up from their registered band grade must fulfill/play the musical requirements of that higher grade.
  • Band Registered Instructors (RIs) are not permitted to play in a Quartet for that band. Players may play in one Quartet at any contest, and no player substitutions are permitted.
  • Orders of play shall be posted on the MWPBA website approx. 7 days before each contest.  Band representatives are required to attend the MWPBA Band meeting at 10:30am each day of the contest, and to verify event start time, in case of schedule change.
  • Appropriate 'Highland' attire and headgear must be worn by all competitors and performers.
  • The MWPBA and event sponsors disclaim any and all liability for injury to person or property related to the events sanctioned. Each event sponsor, by accepting sanctioning, has agreed to defend, indemnify and hold the MWPBA, its officers and agents harmless from all such liability. This disclaimer shall remain in effect despite withdrawal of sanctioning by the MWPBA for any reason.
